Individuals with this condition may find themselves not feeling very hungry throughout the day but then overloading on food at night. This may lead to issues like stress, anxiety, and insomnia. Additionally, this condition may be linked to biological issues like hormones. A good indicator of this condition might be that you eat more after dinner than you do during or before dinner. In order for this issue to be considered a disorder, it must display an ongoing pattern as well.
Pica is a condition that includes the eating of non-nutritious or non-food items for a long-term period. People who display symptoms of pica might eat substances such as sand, dirt, clay, chalk, or paper. Some people eat fingernails and some people may even find themselves eating very toxic substances like laundry soap, paint chips, and even feces. It can cause severe health issues.
